In some early Lamina Nixie Clocks the tubes are soldered in, there you need some soldering skills to replace a broken tube. The latest Lamina Nixie clocks and Simplon/Droid models have sockets for the tube. They can be replaced by opening up the clock.

Yes, the laminas and the base parts are made from high quality steamed beech. After sanding we apply primer in 2 layers, then 2 layers  2 component black basis paint and the final layer is a high glossy two component lacquer.

All clocks, expect the very early models of Lamina Nixie Clocks has option for GPS and/or WiFi time synchronization. However all of the clocks have fine tuning option to set it faster or slower to get very accurate result.
